pages were created by the program GED2HTML. I had started writing each
page in HTML but soon realised I was just re-inventing the proverbial

| All ancestors and
their known families are shown from my parents back. The reason for
stopping at my parents generation is simply that from then on most
people are still living. Where details of other descendants in other
branches are known, they also are included until they left Scotland or I
lost track of them. |

| As
almost all the information on these pages was researched by myself and a
cousin, I would ask any person who wishes to make use of it to contact
myself prior to doing so instead of just plagiarising it and passing it
off as their own work as appears to be coming more and more prevalent.
Apart from being discourteous, it is also downright dishonesty to claim
as their own, someone else's research without acknowledging the original
source. Deliberate errors and omissions are included at various points
to assist in identifying plagiarists. |
